These clients requested a highly functional backyard transformation with a contemporary feel and Japanese/Asian style influences. With a small space, a large family, and a tight budget, their dream backyard of multiple lounge areas and play space seemed out of reach! The Redmond backyard also had severe drainage issues, which added another challenge.
Our designers worked with the clients to successfully create separate spaces that met all of the family's needs. Ambient lighting, cream-colored porcelain pavers, and local dwarf plantings provided a dining space, fire pit area, outdoor kitchen, and living space that flowed together seamlessly.
With our underground system and synthetic lawn installation, the drainage issue was quickly resolved. Japanese Maples, conifers, and custom lanterns reflected the desired style and the fire pit and structure heaters make sure this retreat is welcoming all year long!
