With a gorgeous lakefront property, these homeowners hired Alderwood Landscaping to transform their bare landscape into the visual masterpiece of their dreams. The main focus was to implement several water feature focal points, connected by winding pathways and circulating throughout the property seamlessly. Besides the design aspects, our clients wanted the property to be low maintenance, always appearing manicured and clean.
Since the house was both elevated and had beach access, grading was an apparent challenge for this project. Alderwood's team, however, used this to the property's advantage. The water features, designed to look like natural springs flowing out from the hillside, and the basalt columns, used to tie into the house's stone, provide cohesion amongst the wooded scenery. Also, several dry beds crafted amongst the landscape offer natural streams during heavy rainfalls. Finally, the large-flame firepit grants a welcome place to lounge while watching the sunset.
To these homeowner's delight, the final project exceeded their expectations and will be the stunning lake-side paradise they've dreamed of to enjoy for years to come.
