When these homeowners were tired of their backyard lacking the entertaining capacity they desired, they called Alderwood Landscaping for a complete re-design of their property! While the existing retaining wall was necessary for the yard, the family wanted Alderwood to make it a bit more inviting and blend with an additional fire pit and outdoor kitchen features.
The design challenge was to work with the existing water feature style while seamlessly modifying the existing wall to add lighting and open up the new fire pit area. The homeowner requested additional paver interest, along with a large outdoor kitchen area that blended with the home's modern interior. Perhaps the space's most unique feature is the multi-directional pavers, which created a path directly to the firepit area. Our clients' tight budget presented some unusual design decisions and challenges, but the final project turned out to be the property they had always dreamed of!
