This gorgeous property came with a stunning home and a picture-perfect view. It lacked one major piece, though--an equally captivating yard to relax in and enjoy the nearby lake. The clients called Alderwood Landscaping to transform their plain, flat grassy landscape into a visual masterpiece with a resort-like feel. Their main request was a magnificent water feature centerpiece that would be the focal point of the space from both the inside and the outside.
The greatest challenge of this project was creating a plan for the large water feature that deflected visibility of neighboring homes while also enhancing the lake views. Alderwood's design team also created a paver patio and walkway system that wound around the yard and throughout the grand water feature. This northwest craftsman style eloquently coordinated with the home's rustic interior.
The final project was completed on budget, and the homeowners were ecstatic with how their finished yard exceeded their expectations. This was so much so the case, in fact, that as soon as their backyard was completed, they asked our landscape architects to redesign their front yard as well!
