Nestled among the wildlife-filled terrain of central Washington, this modern home boasts a gorgeous, custom-designed outdoor area. This river-view escape is a dreamy oasis, perfect for hosting family and friends.
When the homeowner contacted us to discuss his dream landscape, his requests were few but specific. Hoping for an outdoor living space ideal for entertaining, he needed a landscape that worked with the unique layout of the house and matched its modern aesthetic. Other desires included a small grass area for his dogs and that the property's unique view was the main focal point. As the construction of his new home wrapped up, our crews began transforming the landscape.
This project's unique challenges were primarily due to the property's remote location. The final design works with the natural grading of the property, as shown by the water feature, which was designed to look and act like a natural extension of the area. In addition, the open space underneath the structure, which was necessary due to the area's high winds, provided an ideal location for an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, hot tub, and lounging benches.
Many simple, straight lines, an iron wood bench for seating, and a sunken hot tub accomplished the sleek, contemporary design of the space. The in-ground hot tub and clear glass in the seating area provide a luxurious design without interfering with the stunning views.
From the cascading water feature and natural steps to the view-focused design of the entertainment area, this project exceeded our client's expectations. Now, he has a space for his family and friends to make memories in for years to come!
